Bread stuffed with delicious minced meat filling

★Ingredients

For the dough:

3 cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon sugar

1 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons instant yeast

3 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter

1 cup warm milk (or water)

For the filling:

500g (1 pound) ground beef

1 onion, finely chopped

2 garlic cloves, minced

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon paprika (optional)

1 tablespoon tomato paste

1 tablespoon soy sauce (optional)

1/2 cup shredded cheese (optional)

For the topping:

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

1/2 cup shredded cheese (optional)


★Instructions

Step 1: Make the Dough

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
  2. Add warm milk and olive oil (or butter). Mix until the dough comes together.
  3. Knead the dough for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Cover and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Step 2: Prepare the Filling

  1. In a pan, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned.
  2. Add chopped onion and garlic. Cook until softened.
  3. Stir in salt, black pepper, paprika, tomato paste, and soy sauce. Mix well and cook for another 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.

Step 3: Assemble the Rolls

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Punch down the dough and divide it into equal portions.
  3. Roll out each portion into a circle, place a spoonful of the beef filling in the center, and seal the edges to form a roll.
  4. Place the rolls seam-side down on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.

Step 4: Add Toppings and Bake

  1. Brush the tops of the rolls with beaten egg.
  2. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top if desired.
  3. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
