Cheesy Stuffed Flatbread (Pan-Fried)

These soft and golden cheese-stuffed flatbreads are crispy on the outside and irresistibly gooey on the inside. Made with simple pantry ingredients, they are perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a quick snack. Serve them warm with honey, butter, or a savory dip.

🧀 Ingredients

For the Dough:

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 cup warm water (adjust as needed)

For the Filling:

  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, grated
  • ½ cup cream cheese or soft cheese (optional, for extra creaminess)

For Cooking:

  • Butter or oil, for brushing

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough
In a large bowl, mix flour, salt, and sugar. Add oil and gradually pour in warm water while mixing until a soft dough forms. Knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth. Cover and let rest for 20 minutes.
  2. Prepare the Filling
In a bowl, mix the grated mozzarella with cream cheese if using. Set aside.
  3. Shape the Flatbreads
Divide the dough into equal balls. Roll each ball into a small circle. Place a generous amount of cheese filling in the center, gather the edges, and seal well. Gently flatten into a round flatbread.
  4. Cook the Flatbreads
Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat. Cook each flatbread for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and slightly puffed. Brush with butter while hot.
  5. Serve
Serve warm and enjoy the stretchy, melted cheese inside.
