Creamy Garlic Chicken with Mushrooms Recipe

★Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 tablespoons butter

8 ounces mushrooms, sliced

1 small onion, chopped

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves (or ½ teaspoon dried thyme)

1 cup heavy cream

½ cup chicken broth

Salt and black pepper, to taste

Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)


★Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken:

Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides.

  1. Cook the Chicken:

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the chicken and cook for about 5-7 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

  1. Sauté the Mushrooms and Aromatics:

In the same skillet, melt the butter.

Add the mushrooms and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.

Stir in the onions and garlic, cooking for another 2-3 minutes until fragrant.

Pour in the chicken broth and scrape the bottom of the skillet to deglaze.

Stir in the heavy cream and fresh thyme, simmering for 3-5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning the creamy mushroom sauce over the top.

Let simmer for another 2-3 minutes to combine flavors.
