★Ingredients
1 medium head of cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets
1/2 cup (120ml) all-purpose flour (or a gluten-free alternative)
1/2 cup (120ml) water
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup (120ml) breadcrumbs (for extra crispiness, use panko)
Cooking spray or oil
Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Sauce (Optional):
1/2 cup mayonnaise or yogurt
1-2 tablespoons hot sauce, ketchup, or BBQ sauce
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare Batter: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, water, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Coat Cauliflower: Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, letting the excess drip off. Then coat in breadcrumbs for a crunchy texture.
- Bake: Arrange the florets on the baking sheet, leaving some space between each. Lightly spray or drizzle with oil. Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
- Prepare Sauce: Mix mayonnaise (or yogurt) with hot sauce and lemon juice for dipping.
- Serve: Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot with the dipping sauce.
Enjoy!
