Dolly’s Chicken and Stuffing Casserole

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups cooked, shredded chicken (about 3 large breasts)
  • 1 box (6 oz) stuffing mix (e.g., Stove Top)
  • 1 ¾ cups chicken broth
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ½ cup diced celery
  • ½ cup diced onions
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. Prepare the stuffing mix according to the package instructions, using chicken broth instead of water for extra flavor.
  3. In a large bowl, mix shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, diced celery, diced onions, black pepper, garlic powder, and poultry seasoning.
  4. Spread the chicken mixture evenly in the greased baking dish.
  5. Top with prepared stuffing and drizzle melted butter over it.
  6. Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbling.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve hot.
