Dolly’s Chicken and Stuffing Casserole
Ingredients:
- 4 cups cooked, shredded chicken (about 3 large breasts)
- 1 box (6 oz) stuffing mix (e.g., Stove Top)
- 1 ¾ cups chicken broth
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- ½ cup sour cream
- ½ cup diced celery
- ½ cup diced onions
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon poultry seasoning
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish.
- Prepare the stuffing mix according to the package instructions, using chicken broth instead of water for extra flavor.
- In a large bowl, mix shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, diced celery, diced onions, black pepper, garlic powder, and poultry seasoning.
- Spread the chicken mixture evenly in the greased baking dish.
- Top with prepared stuffing and drizzle melted butter over it.
- Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbling.
- Garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve hot.
