🍰 Golden Butter Pound Cake
Ingredients
- 1 cup (225 g) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs, room temperature
- 1 ¾ cups (220 g) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼ cup (60 ml) milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 170°C (340°F). Grease and line a loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the batter, alternating with milk.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool for 10 minutes, then remove from the pan and cool completely.
