Creamy Scrambled Eggs on Toast
Ingredients:
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon milk or cream (optional, for extra creaminess)
- Salt, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper
- 1 slice thick bread (sourdough or sandwich bread)
Instructions:
- Crack the eggs into a bowl, add salt and milk (if using), and whisk gently.
- Heat a non-stick pan over low heat and add the butter.
- Pour in the eggs and stir slowly with a spatula, scraping the bottom of the pan.
- Keep stirring gently until the eggs are soft, creamy, and slightly runny.
- Remove from heat immediately (they will continue to cook).
- Toast the bread until golden and crispy.
- Spoon the scrambled eggs over the toast.
- Finish with freshly ground black pepper on top.
Serving Tip:
Serve immediately while warm. You can add chives, cheese, or avocado for extra flavor.
