Air Fryer Grilled Cheese Sandwich
Ingredients
- 8 slices of bread (white, sourdough, or brioche)
- 4β6 slices of cheese (cheddar, American, mozzarella, or a mix)
- Softened butter or mayonnaise
- Parchment paper (optional, for less mess)
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 370Β°F (190Β°C) for 3β5 minutes.
- Butter one side of each bread slice (or spread mayonnaise for extra crispiness).
- Place cheese between two slices of bread, with the buttered sides facing outward.
- Line the air fryer basket with parchment paper if desired.
- Place the sandwiches in the basket in a single layer (donβt overcrowd).
- Air fry for 4β5 minutes, then carefully flip the sandwiches.
- Cook another 3β5 minutes until golden brown and the cheese is fully melted.
- Remove, let cool slightly, and serve hot.
Tips
- Use two types of cheese for better melt and flavor.
- If the bread browns too fast, lower the temperature slightly.
- Press lightly with a spatula after cooking for a classic grilled look.
