Creamy Marinated Chicken Bake

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg (2.2 lbs) of chicken pieces (drumsticks, thighs, or wings)
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • ½ cup mayonnaise or sour cream
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano or parsley
  • ½ teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Marinade:
    In a large bowl, mix yogurt, mayonnaise (or sour cream), minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, black pepper, paprika, oregano, and olive oil. Stir well to combine.
  2. Marinate the Chicken:
    Place the chicken pieces in a baking dish and pour the creamy marinade over them. Ensure the chicken is fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (or overnight for better flavor).
  3. Bake the Chicken:
    • Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F).
    • Bake uncovered for 40-50 minutes or until the chicken is golden brown and fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 75°C/165°F).
  4. Serve:
    Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot with rice, roasted vegetables, or salad. Enjoy your creamy, flavorful chicken!
