Classic Tiramisu Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups strong brewed coffee or espresso (cooled)
  • 2 tablespoons coffee liqueur (optional)
  • 1 package ladyfinger biscuits
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder (for dusting, optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the cream
    In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  2. Mix mascarpone
    In another bowl, gently mix mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Combine
    Fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture gently until fluffy.
  4. Prepare coffee
    Mix the cooled coffee with the coffee liqueur (if using).
  5. Assemble
    Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee (do not soak).
    Arrange a layer in a glass dish.
  6. Layer
    Spread half of the cream mixture over the ladyfingers.
    Add another layer of dipped ladyfingers, then top with the remaining cream.
  7. Chill
    Cover and refrigerate for at least 4–6 hours (overnight is best).
  8. Serve
    Dust with cocoa powder before serving if desired. Cut into squares like in the photo.
