Classic Tiramisu Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup mascarpone cheese
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups strong brewed coffee or espresso (cooled)
- 2 tablespoons coffee liqueur (optional)
- 1 package ladyfinger biscuits
- Unsweetened cocoa powder (for dusting, optional)
Instructions:
- Prepare the cream
In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. - Mix mascarpone
In another bowl, gently mix mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. - Combine
Fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture gently until fluffy. - Prepare coffee
Mix the cooled coffee with the coffee liqueur (if using). - Assemble
Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee (do not soak).
Arrange a layer in a glass dish. - Layer
Spread half of the cream mixture over the ladyfingers.
Add another layer of dipped ladyfingers, then top with the remaining cream. - Chill
Cover and refrigerate for at least 4–6 hours (overnight is best). - Serve
Dust with cocoa powder before serving if desired. Cut into squares like in the photo.
