- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup warm milk
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp instant yeast
- 1 egg
- 3 tbsp butter (softened)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp poppy seeds (optional, like in the image)

- Activate the yeast
In a bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5β10 minutes until foamy. - Make the dough
Add the egg, butter, and salt. Gradually add flour and mix until a soft dough forms. - Knead
Knead the dough for about 8β10 minutes until smooth and elastic. - First rise
Cover and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size. - Shape
Divide the dough into equal balls and place them in greased glass bowls (like the image).
Sprinkle poppy seeds on top. - Second rise
Let them rise again for 30β40 minutes until puffy. - Bake
