Fluffy Creamy Cheesecake with Powdered Sugar Topping

🍰 Creamy Custard Cheesecake

Ingredients:

For the crust:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder

For the creamy filling:

  • 500 g cream cheese (such as Philadelphia) or well-drained Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup heavy cream (or thick cream)
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

For topping:

  • Powdered sugar

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the crust:
    • Beat the butter and sugar until creamy.
    • Add the egg and vanilla, then gradually mix in flour and baking powder.
    • Knead into a soft dough (not sticky).
    • Press the dough into a greased springform pan, raising the edges slightly to form a base.
  2. Prepare the filling:
    • Beat the cream cheese with sugar until smooth.
    • Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla, cornstarch, and finally the cream.
    • Pour the mixture over the crust.
  3. Bake:
    • Preheat the oven to 340°F (170°C).
    • Bake for 45–55 minutes until the top is lightly golden and set.
    • Let it cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
  4. Serve:
    • Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
    • Best enjoyed chilled with a glass of milk or coffee.
