Tender Crockpot Beef Roast with Rich Gravy
Ingredients
- 3–4 lb beef chuck roast
- 1 onion, sliced
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 3 carrots, chopped
- 4 potatoes, cut into chunks
Instructions
- Season the beef roast with salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
- Heat olive oil in a pan and sear the roast for 2–3 minutes on each side until browned.
- Place onions, carrots, and potatoes into the slow cooker.
- Put the roast on top of the vegetables.
- In a bowl, mix beef broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic. Pour over the roast.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 8–10 hours or HIGH for 5–6 hours until the meat becomes tender and juicy.
- Shred or slice the beef and serve with the rich gravy from the slow cooker.
