Tender Crockpot Beef Roast with Rich Gravy

Ingredients

  • 3–4 lb beef chuck roast
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 3 carrots, chopped
  • 4 potatoes, cut into chunks

Instructions

  1. Season the beef roast with salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
  2. Heat olive oil in a pan and sear the roast for 2–3 minutes on each side until browned.
  3. Place onions, carrots, and potatoes into the slow cooker.
  4. Put the roast on top of the vegetables.
  5. In a bowl, mix beef broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic. Pour over the roast.
  6. Cover and cook on LOW for 8–10 hours or HIGH for 5–6 hours until the meat becomes tender and juicy.
  7. Shred or slice the beef and serve with the rich gravy from the slow cooker.
