🍰 Creamy Custard Cheesecake
Ingredients:
For the crust:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
 - 1/2 cup sugar
 - 1 egg
 - 1 tsp vanilla extract
 - 1 tsp baking powder
 
For the creamy filling:
- 500 g cream cheese (such as Philadelphia) or well-drained Greek yogurt
 - 1 cup heavy cream (or thick cream)
 - 3/4 cup sugar
 - 2 eggs
 - 2 tbsp cornstarch
 - 1 tsp vanilla extract
 - Pinch of salt
 
For topping:
- Powdered sugar
 
Instructions:
- Prepare the crust:
- Beat the butter and sugar until creamy.
 - Add the egg and vanilla, then gradually mix in flour and baking powder.
 - Knead into a soft dough (not sticky).
 - Press the dough into a greased springform pan, raising the edges slightly to form a base.
 
 - Prepare the filling:
- Beat the cream cheese with sugar until smooth.
 - Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla, cornstarch, and finally the cream.
 - Pour the mixture over the crust.
 
 - Bake:
- Preheat the oven to 340°F (170°C).
 - Bake for 45–55 minutes until the top is lightly golden and set.
 - Let it cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
 
 - Serve:
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
 - Best enjoyed chilled with a glass of milk or coffee.
