Slow Cooker Creamy Garlic Beef Bites
Ingredients
- 2 lb (900 g) beef stew meat, cut into bite-sized cubes
- 1 can (10.5 oz / 298 g) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup beef broth
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 1 packet onion soup mix
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp salt, or to taste
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- ½ tsp dried thyme
- 1 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the beef: Place the beef cubes in the bottom of a slow cooker.
- Make the sauce: In a bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, heavy cream, onion soup mix, garlic powder, black pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and thyme.
- Combine: Pour the creamy sauce evenly over the beef. Add the butter on top.
- Slow cook: Cover and cook on LOW for 6–8 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours, until the beef is tender.
- Finish: Stir the beef and sauce well. Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.
- Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and serve over mashed potatoes, rice, egg noodles, or crusty bread.
Tip: For an extra-rich sauce, stir in a little cream cheese during the last 20–30 minutes of cooking.
