Candied Peaches Recipe (Glazed Peaches in Syrup)
Ingredients:
- 1 kg ripe peaches (peeled and halved, stones removed)
 - 2 cups sugar
 - 1 Β½ cups water
 - 1 tablespoon lemon juice
 - 1 cinnamon stick (optional)
 - 2 cloves (optional, for flavor)
 

Instructions:
- In a large pot, combine sugar and water. Heat gently, stirring until the sugar is fully dissolved.
 - Add the lemon juice, cinnamon stick, and cloves if using. Bring to a gentle boil.
 - Add the peeled peach halves into the syrup and reduce heat to low.
 - Simmer for 20β30 minutes until the peaches become tender and glossy, absorbing the syrup.
 - Remove the peaches carefully and place them in sterilized jars or a serving dish.
 - Continue boiling the syrup until it thickens slightly, then pour it over the peaches.
 - Let it cool completely before serving or sealing the jars.
 
Serving Suggestion:
Enjoy candied peaches on their own, with ice cream, or as a topping for cakes and pastries.
